ASUS K40 K40AB K40AF K40IN K50 K50I K50IJ K501-RBBGR05 uses the same model of keyboard. So their methods of disassembling the keyboard are the same. Prepare tools: a new keyboard and a flat-head screwdriver.

1: release the four buckles of the keyboard

       These notebook keyboards are not fixed with screws. They use a snap-fastening method. There are a total of four. Insert a screwdriver into the buckle and gently push it forward to release the buckle.

2: release the keyboard cable interface, remove the keyboard

       Find the keyboard interface lock position, you can not directly pull the keyboard cable, or need to use a screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver into both ends of the buckle and gently pull it up. After the keyboard cable is loosened, the keyboard can be removed.

3: replace the new keyboard

       The method of changing the new keyboard is the opposite of the above steps. You need to connect the keyboard cable first. Then insert the keyboard into the slot of the notebook keyboard. After the keyboard buckle is closed, there will be a “click” sound.
